The Jennings County Education Center (JCEC) offers many programs for adult learners! Programs include but are not limited to High School Equivalency Study Classes, Adult Secondary Credit, WorkIndiana, Literacy Tutoring, English Language Learners Study Classes, Adult Basic Education Classes (Jennings County Jail), Ivy Prep Classes, and 180 Skills. More information for these programs can be found under the Academics tab.

Entrance Requirements: Adult Education students must be at least 16 years old to enter any of the programs offered at the JCEC. Those students under 18 must offer proof that they have withdrawn from high school. *Students serving an expulsion are not eligible to enroll until their period of expulsion has been served.

All adult learners must take the Test of Adult Basic Skills Assessment (TABE). This is a “do your best” test. The results determine how many study hours a student must complete before they will be able to sign up for the official HSED Test. TABE Scores are also used to qualify students for job trainings offered through WorkIndiana.
