Free Occupational Training

Jennings County Adult Education Center is now offering free occupational training. Each training opportunity is dependent on funding and must meet the minimum number of student requirement. Most of the training opportunities require students to attend a training registration of 12 hours. This is mandatory to receive the training for free. Jennings Adult Education Featured in the DWD Insider

Region 9 Report

WorkOne Southeast and Jennings County Adult Education Center, in partnership with Vincennes University, recently held another successful medical assistant training with 12 total students - 11 of whom were WIOA participants. With an INDemand ranking of five flames, the interests for this training generally results in a waiting list for acceptance.

Classes ran from February to May with the 11 participants ranging from adult, dislocated worker, and older youth successfully completing the training. The quality of this training brings a positive track record and was demonstrated by all WorkOne participants passing the NHA exam and earning a credential.
